Albany Café
The Albany Café is based within the Albany Theatre in Deptford, which has over 100,000 visitors each year,
40,000 of whom use the café. For many years the café operated a very limited service and attracted only
a few internal customers, but in 2003/ 4 the café underwent a business planning/ operations review and with
the support of Greenwich Community Food Initiative established a new service based on freshly prepared,
healthy meals, and where possible with fair trade, locally sourced or organic ingredients.
